hair doesn't grow in the middle of my chin

Beard grows everywhere except chin – worry no more, over here are some reasons why you can’t grow it and the quick tips to fix it.

You can’t grow a beard at your chin because

  • You inherited gene of having no beard at the chin.
  • You just hit the puberty.
  • There is less blood circulation at the chin.
  • There is less production of testosterone.
  • Your pores are blocked due to excess oil.
  • You don’t consume nutrients enriched foods, especially vitamin B, enriched foods.
  • You don’t take enough rest.

Without further ado, let’s discuss it in detail.

Reasons Behind Hair Not Growing Under Chin

1. You inherited gene of having no beard at the chin

Whether you will grow a beard or not is determined by the gene you have inherited. The same gene decides whether you will grow a beard at the chin or not.

If you aren’t growing a beard at the chin, it might be due to gene. There is a possibility that your father also can’t grow beards at the chin.

2. You just hit the puberty

If age is the case of not growing beard under the chin, you need to have patience.

If you are at your early teen and expecting a dense beard, it is not going to happen. Rather than having a thick beard, you will have a thin and patchy beard.

When you hit puberty – Firstly, you will grow your mustache. In the course of time, after that, you will see facial hair at chin and cheeks.

3. There is less blood circulation at the chin

Good circulation of blood stimulates hair follicles and increases beard growth. If on the other hand, the blood flow at the chin is less, it has a thin and patchy beard.

4. There is less production of testosterone

Other than testosterone, dihydrotestosterone( a byproduct of testosterone) has a critical role in stimulating beard growth. Everybody has it to some extent. Some can have it at a high level whereas some can have it at a low level.

As follows, the men having a high level of testosterone and DHT have dense facial hair growth. Whereas, the men having a low level of testosterone and DHT have thin and patchy hair growth.

5. Your pores are blocked due to excess oil

Blocked pores may also be another reason behind the thin and patchy beard at the chin. If your pores are blocked, hair may grow from the follicles but can’t reach the surface.

6. You don’t consume nutrients enriched foods

Vitamin B6, B12, and biotin stimulate beard growth. Not only it stimulates your beard but also prevents hair loss. Thus, I suggest you consume vitamin-enriched food( especially vitamin B) for the growth of it.

You can also intake foods that are rich in omega-three fatty acids.

7. You don’t take enough rest

I suggest you sleep for at least 8 hours each night.

Rest is indeed essential. It energizes your body and increases blood circulation.

How can I grow beard under my chin?

1. Have patience

As discussed, if you are just 18, you can’t have a full beard. At that time, your vellus hair just turned to terminal hair. Additionally, hormone production just gets started.

At that time you can have a patchy beard.

To have a thick and full beard, you need to have patience and wait till it matures.

2. Exfoliate your skin

Due to excess oil, pores might get blocked. And if pores are blocked, you can’t grow a beard. Thus,  to open up the pores, you must exfoliate your skin.

I suggest you try facial scrub to exfoliate it.

3. Intake vitamin-enriched foods

For facial hair growth, I suggest you intake vitamin and nutrients enriched foods. Some of the foods that I recommend for beard growth are:

  • Vitamin B5( Mushroom, fish, avocado, egg, lean chicken, beef, pork)
  • Vitamin C( Cauliflower, Sweet Potatoes, Spinach, Winter Squash)
  • Vitamin E( Nuts, Green leafy vegetables)
  • Biotin( Eggs, organ meats)

4. Do proper exercise

You will also need to exercise daily to maintain a beard growth. It promotes blood circulation and also increases the level of testosterone.

5. Drink plenty of water

Drinking plenty of water keeps your body hydrated and maintains body temperature. As a result, it balances body fluid. It improves blood circulation and impact on beard growth.

6. Use Dermaroller

Lastly, if nothing works, you can use a derma roller. It punctures your face with hundreds of tiny needles. Within that area, the production of collagen and protein increases. As a result, it promotes facial hair growth.

Conclusion

We have discussed why your beard grows everywhere but not at the chin and the quick ways to resolve it. If you follow the proper tips, you will definitely grow beards at your chin too.
