One friend of mine suggested me to rub my face for beard growth! I didn’t believe him at first. Then to test it out, I literally rubbed my face for one month. Over here is what I have discovered!
Does rubbing your face make hair grow? Rubbing your face increases blood flow that drives essential nutrients and enough oxygen towards the hair follicle. It unclogs the pores and removes patchiness. Due to it hair follicles get stimulated and increases beard growth, but the growth will be tiny.
Don’t expect that rubbing your face hugely increase your beard growth!
Without further ado, let’s discuss it in detail.
What Happens When You Rub Your Face
#1. Increase blood blow to the beard follicles
Blood circulation drives essential nutrients and enough oxygen to the hair follicles. When enough oxygen is delivered, it increases collagen production helping in cell growth. It will strengthen your hair and keeps your beard healthy.
Meanwhile, when oxygen intake is reduced, it will damage the cells causing hair thinning and white beard.
Benefits of blood circulation to beard:
- Stimulates beard growth
- Strengthen your facial hair
- Reduce hair breakage and hair thinning
- Repairs your damaged hair
#2. Remove dead skin cells by releasing toxins
Gently rubbing your face with some essential oils like tea tree oil removes dead skin cells.
While you use facial products like moisturizer, lotion and oil – it creates a thin layer in your skin that clogs up the pore. Not only by using facial products but also the natural oil like sebum oil blocks your pores.
But when you massage it, it unclogs it.
The downsides of clogged pores are:
- Patchy beard
- Greasy skin
Advantages of removing dead skin cell:
- Removes beardruff
- Regeneration of new skin cell
#3. Facial Rejuvenation
Massaging your face reduces tension and enhance relaxation. It is one of the best beauty regimens because it provides a natural glow to your face.
Moreover, it reduces wrinkles, discolouration and fine lines.
#4 Improve product absorption
While applying beard products like moisturizer and oil with massaging it in a circular motion improves product absorption. It eases ingredients to enter inside the pores and to the follicles. As a result, you will see a positive impact on your beard.
How many times a day you will need to rub your face?

Is it bad to rub your face?
It is not bad to rub your face. But while rubbing your face, massage it gently! Furthermore, while choosing the products for massaging, choose only the products that contain more organic ingredients. Plus select the product that is suitable for your skin tone. Like if you have an acne problem, choose the product with no comedogenic ingredients.
Rubbing your face increase facial growth, but the growth will not be huge. You will only see tiny growth. This growth is due to proper blood flow that delivers nutrients and oxygen to your follicles.
Ultimately, I recommend that while rubbing your face, don’t rub it too hard and choose the product that contains more natural ingredients.
